Pure Enjoyment...

Do you know those days when you run...not because you need to burn 600 calories and not because you need to get that workout in...but simply for the pure enjoyment of running?


Oh how I love endorphins.

i have yet to reach that. I suffered through a nasty hilly 4mi run yesterday and wanted to stop every mminute!!

we should go running sometime. i like trail running best, it seems like it makes my knees hurt less. and we should like, do a fun run this spring/summer. i love those.
quick story: i did a run last year and i got there late. they were all out of the numbers (i did the 5K, but got the 10K number). as i approached the finish line (you have to picture this for it to be funny), about 50 people started cheering for me and the guy announced over the microphone that i was the first woman to finish the 10K that day. i was still pretty far and couldn't explain that i actually didn't do the 10K, but when I got there and told everybody I felt so dumb. some people even let balloons go as i got closer. i wanted to die.

I know what you're saying. Running can be a hard core drug addiction.

While reading this I thought of Pheobe and Rachel in "Friends" running in the park and Rachel jogs all normal but Pheobe runs like a crazy child because she says it's fun haha!
